Post of the Day

This weekend has been pretty fun. Saturday, in the draft, I made top four. The top four split, so I got $14, and I also got a lot of rares. There where 10 people at the draft, and top four was: Brian, Alex, Nathan, and Me. Today was type two, and there were 6 people. We played round robin. I didn't make top two, but I had a lot of fun. I changed my "Red Deck Wins" deck to be more of a conventional build. It now has land destruction, which seems to help a lot. The land destruction helps to control the board, so that I am not just speeding to a win.

Today, I also threw together a new deck that I call "Nitroglycerin". It is my build of "Draft Affinity", which is an affinity deck based on winning by turn four at the latest. It is very unstable, and seems as though that it could easily be recked, but it is very fast if it works. It needs a lot more testing, but I have an early list built. It is extremely budget also, which is a plus. The only, and I mean only, expense is the Chrome Moxes. The basis of the deck is to get out an Atog and swing for the win. It has Frogmites and Myr Enforcers for back-up, and Disciple of the Vault is just stupid with Atog.

I still need a lot more testing with both decks. Here are the current lists for both:

Nitroglycerin does not have a board as of yet, it is still very experimental. It would probably have burn in it, or something. Maybe a card to help late game, possibly Broodstars.
